PEACOCK ORE from Mexico Peacock Ore is the common name for the mineral Chalcopyrite, particularly when the surface has tarnished or oxidised to display beautiful iridescent colours. Newly exposed Chalcopyrite is a trassy yellow colour and is easily confused with iron pyrites (Fool's Gold). This individual piece is supplied in a Black Gift Box with black satin lining.
